At Nine Lives Jewellery, every custom piece is a collaboration. These are modern relics made slow, with intention, and unapologetic presence.
Timeline
Each custom order takes 3–4 weeks from the date your deposit is received. If you’re ordering for a birthday or special occasion, please let me know the date upfront. I’ll do my best to accommodate where possible. Once your final payment is made, your order will be carefully packaged and shipped.
HOW IT WORKS
Come with your ideas, ideally with reference photos of my own work (please note: I don’t copy other artists’ designs). Drawings, words, photos, memories- anything goes, as long as it’s original. Share the elements you love from different Nine Lives Jewellery pieces (see our instagram account for more references @nine.lives.jewellery).
A professionally measured ring size is required for custom orders for the perfect fit. You can go down to your local jewellery shop and they do it within minutes, for free. See our sizing guide for more information.
Customs are more pricey due to their one-of-one nature, but please share your budget and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
- Customs start at R1800 for small bands or simpler designs.
- Prices increase depending on stones, detail, labour, and overall design.
- A 50% deposit is required to begin. The balance is due on completion, before your piece is shipped.
I’ll create sketches and pull in special details- like gemstones I’ve been saving for the right design, textures, or unique elements. We’ll brainstorm together until your dream piece begins to take shape.
Each piece takes 3–4 weeks from the date of deposit. After final polishing and finishing, your piece will be carefully packaged and shipped once the balance is paid.
This process is about creating something that belongs to you alone- an unapologetic piece of art that carries your story.
