A NOTE FROM ME ᯓ★

I grew up in Cape Town with a vision for something bigger, something that felt like movement, a call to step unapologetically into your own.

Jewellery became that for me: a way to soften into self-expression and to carry meaning in something tangible.

My journey began with part-time silversmithing courses, learning the weight of metal and fire. Everything shifted when I discovered wax carving. The lost-wax process opened a new world: a piece begins as an idea, sculpted in wax by hand, then encased in plaster, melted away, and finally reborn in molten silver. What remains is never perfect: always textured, always alive, an imprint of both process and intention.

Today, most of my work is hand-carved in wax, while I occasionally weave in traditional silversmithing techniques. I see myself as a constant student of the craft, which is why I also collaborate with jewellers who carry decades of experience, ensuring each piece endures as a modern heirloom.

Nine Lives Jewellery was born from this practice, and from Walter (my cat) who became a living reminder of resilience, curiosity, and the many lives we live within one. Each piece carries this spirit. It feels less like something you choose, and more like something that chooses you. Once claimed, it takes on its own life, absorbing the stories of its keeper and carrying them forward.

These are modern relics: unapologetic in presence, imperfect in texture, and meant to be worn for lifetimes. Jewellery that moves with you, grows with you, and reminds you of your own ability to return, transform, and live boldly through all the seasons and lives you carry.
